Everyone's telling you to go to Chongqing. And look, Chongqing's cool. But hear me out β Guiyang just did something I did not see coming.
I'm wandering around what feels like a pretty normal Chinese megacity and then suddenly... there's this massive park right in the middle of it. Like full-on trees, grass, people chilling β surrounded on all sides by some of the most insane skyscrapers I've ever seen in my life. It genuinely looked like someone dropped Central Park into the middle of a sci-fi movie set. I had to stop and just take it in for a second.
This city has absolutely no right to be this cool and this unknown at the same time.
In this one we're getting into:
ποΈ The skyline β and why it genuinely rivals any major city in Asia
π³ That park in the middle of it all β one of the most unexpected things I've seen travelling
πΈ The best spots to actually see and feel the scale of this place
π€― Why Guiyang keeps catching people off guard
If you're planning a China trip and trying to decide where to go β add this one to the list. Seriously. It's the kind of place you stumble into not expecting much and leave thinking about for weeks.
Have you been to Guiyang? Or is this the first you're hearing of it? Let me know below ππ
